Will a forensic handwriting analysis stand up in court?

Police are trying to say my handwriting matches handwriting on a letter that communicated a threat to a large corporation. Will forensic handwriting test stand up in court? Could I be convicted of something i did’n do?

Forensic document examination is acceptable as testimony.

What your attorney can do, is issue a Duabert challenge of the document examiner. My suggestion would be:

* Hire a private investigator to do a complete background check of the forensic examiner;
(Qualifications and experience can be something other than that which is claimed by the examiner.)

* Get a print out of the material on their website,and independently substantiate each and every claim made on the site;
(Claims made on a website need not be factual.)

* Hire a Forensic Document examiner, of your own, to examine the material;
(The forensic examiner hired by the other side might be wrong.)

* Hire somebody to examine the evidence that is being used to build a case against you. How much of it is based on facts that are not disputable.

If you did not write the letter, but the evidence implies that you did, you need to explain why the evidence is pointing in the wrong direction.

Defending yourself will be expensive. Money that you will not be able to recoup.
